On Thursday, May 9, the Bieber couple announced they were welcoming a little one into their family, posting a video to Instagram of them renewing their vows in Hawaii. Although they were excited to share the news they were expecting, a source tells PEOPLE that the couple wanted to keep the news private for as long as possible.
“When they found out Hailey was pregnant, it was the best day for them. They’re both very emotional about it,” the source said. “They feel so blessed and they feel so protective of their baby from the moment they found out.”

“They shared it with family and close friends early on. But it was important to them to keep it quiet and just enjoy it for as long as possible before admitting it publicly,” the source continued. “They asked their friends not to share it until they were ready to publish it.”
Hailey missed the Met Gala on Monday, but attended Coachella 2024 with her husband, opting for a comfortable look.
The Beavers made a modest appearance in the audience dressed up to enjoy the festival in Indio, California, on April 12 and April 13.

Enjoying the Ice Spice set, Hailey opted for a no-pants ‘comfort’ look with a baggy leather jacket that covered her stomach, a black undershirt, white socks, black boots and neon green glow-in-the-dark nails. When she was spotted at Lana Del Rey’s headlining set, the model wore her dark hair in her black zip-up hoodie and tortoiseshell-print glasses.
The two have been the subject of speculation of marital discord, but sources tell PEOPLE the rumors are untrue.
